Goals In Review

So with as little anxiety as possible, acknowledge how this year has been going and that you are in the 11th month of the year. Let's look at what this means for your goals.

Always remember that each day can be considered an opportunity to address, work on, reset or set a goal. As the end of this year approaches, this may be a good time to think about your accomplishments this year, and give yourself a pat on the back if you haven't done so already. It is also a good time to examine areas of growth and how a strategy you may be using to meet a goal can be modified to work better for you. I would like to encourage you to not wait until 2019 to start thinking about goals, and know if you do not already, that it is okay to carry over 2018 goals in to 2019— some goals require more time than others.

Last month I worked on addressing my “lack thinking.” While I am still addressing this, I have become more self-aware about how thinking and setting goals from a place of lack can negatively impact my self-confidence and trigger me to focus on reasons why I may not meet goals—consciously and subconsciously. I also increased my self-awareness by focusing more on thoughts that encourage “abundance thinking.” Choosing to believe I already have all the resources I need. What thought patterns have you noticed helps you to meet or to delay meeting your goals?

Look for the resources you may already have, but may be overlooking. Continue to work on what you want to achieve for yourself, even if you do not see this being accomplished by the end of this year. Modify strategies that are not serving your progress. Celebrate steps that you have taken on the way to meeting your goals. Have a great November!
